Mothering Sunday (15) at Number 8, Pershore

A sensual adaptation of Graham Swift’s acclaimed novella starring Colin Firth, Olivia Colman and Josh O’Conner. On Mother’s Day in 1924, Mr. and Mrs. Niven (Firth and Colman) give their housekeeper Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) the day off, as they are set to go to their neighbour’s house. While they are gone, Jane spends an afternoon of abandon with her secret lover Paul (O’Connor), the neighbour’s well-born son who is engaged to be married to another woman. But events that neither can foresee will change the course of Jane’s life forever.
