The Railway Children (U) at Number 8, Pershore
The story follows an Edwardian mother (Dinah Sheridan), and her children who, faced with poverty after their father is imprisoned, move from London to a small cottage in rural Yorkshire. Siblings Bobbie (Jenny Agutter), Phyllis (Sally Thomsett) and Peter (Gary Warren) are soon drawn to the nearby steam railway line and station, and all kinds of adventures. Also starring Bernard Cribbins and William Mervyn.
